IMPORTANT GENERAL DETAILS AND REMINDERS
❖ When the team travels away from the Occoquan, ALL athletes will need to arrive at the same time on race day to unload the boat trailer and to rig the boats. Similarly, athletes will leave the racing site at the same time once the boats are derigged and the trailer is loaded. As a general rule, no one is allowed to leave without their coach’s permission.
❖ This is a fast moving, fun scrimmage. All efforts will be made to hold to a schedule, but since this is “unofficial,” please bring your loudest cheering voices and your patience.
❖ Please share your Tri-Meet photos!

INFO SPECIFIC TO ATHLETES
❖ Please eat a good breakfast and bring plenty of water and snacks. There will NOT be food provided by the team, so bring all that you will need/want. This is a fast meet, so you should plan to have lunch on your own after racing.
❖ Athletes are to be dropped off at the Anacostia Community Boathouse located at 1900 M St SE, Washington, DC 20003. Carpooling is strongly recommended due to limited parking.
INFO SPECIFIC TO SPECTATORS

❖ This location is considerably easier to get to than the grandstands at Sandy Run, so the Tri-Meet is a great opportunity for less-mobile friends and family to attend.
❖ Park alongside the river at Anacostia Park and enjoy a view of the races just steps away from your cars. If you have a bicycle you can follow most of the race on a road parallel to the course. There is also a bridge at the start of the racing where you can observe from above.
❖ Bring binoculars or telephoto lenses. Since there is not an “official” race schedule or results reporting, binoculars or telephoto lenses are the best way to get a good view!
❖ There is NO shelter, NO potable water, and last year the public restroom facilities were NOT open. Please plan accordingly. The athletes have access to all they need things, but spectators need to fend for themselves.
