Woodson Rowing is a varsity sport at Woodson High School, but we do not receive funding from Fairfax County Public Schools or Woodson High School. As a result, we rely on the support of our community, athlete fees, and fundraising to pay for equipment, supplies, insurance, regatta fees, maintenance/repairs, regatta fees and coaching staff.
The Woodson Crew Boosters is an all-volunteer, parent-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Therefore, your donations are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donors will receive a tax receipt upon request.

| Buy and Name a Boat! | $30,000 | This is obviously a”pie-in-the-sky” sponsorship level! Enable the team to purchase a NEW boat to showcase for years to come and become part of the Woodson Rowing legacy. With this donation level, you earn the right to name a boat and attend/speak at the boat naming ceremony. We will feature your name or logo on our website, interview and feature you on our social media channels (600+ followers), include your name or logo in our weekly emails to parents and students (500+ recipients), and you will receive an invitation to our end-of-the-year banquet so that the team can thank you in-person. |
| Practice Bus Sponsor | $1,500 | Our athletes practice at Sandy Run Regional Park at the Occoquan. They practice after school Monday – Friday and on Saturday mornings. Our practice location is about a 30 minute drive from Woodson High School. A charter bus allows us to ensure that the athletes travel safely to and from practice after a long day of being students. Your contribution will allow athletes to rest and/or do homework on the way to and back from practice. We will thank you via our social media channels, weekly emails to parents and students, and you will receive an invitation to our end-of-the-year banquet! |
| Boathouse Sponsor | $1,000 | Help us pay our rental fees for the boathouse, where we store our boats and equipment at Sandy Run Regional Park. We will thank you via our social media channels and display your name or logo at the boathouse. |
| Launch Boat Sponsor | $750 | Our coaches need reliable boats to coach the rowers while on the water. Your contribution(s) will go toward repairs and, if needed, new boats. We will thank you via our social media channels. |
| Trailer Sponsor | $500 | Specially designed boat trailers safely take our (expensive!) boats to away regattas and to get repaired. Your donation is essential to making sure we get to our competitions with equipment in prime condition. You will be thanked via our social media channels. |
| Erg Sponsor | $350 | During the off-season summer and winter months, athletes stay in shape and learn rowing form on rowing machines (called ergometers, or ergs for short). Your donation helps us to maintain our fleet of ergs and may go towards replacing ergs as needed. |
| Provide Oars | $250 | Oars can make or break a win by milliseconds. To support the times needed to win, we need the best oars for our athletes. Your contribution will help us maintain our oars and buy new ones, as needed. |
| Pay Regatta Fees | $150 | Help the team register for away competitions to expand our ability to be one of the best teams in the country! |
| Uniform Athletes | $100 | Uniforms are a vital part of feeling like A TEAM. Funds will go towards uniforms for our athletes so the team looks and feels great! |
| Keep our Coxswains Cox’in | $75 | The coxswain steers the boats and calls commands using a “cox box.” This vital piece of equipment enables the coxswain to communicate with the whole boat efficiently and effectively, while preserving their own voice boxes! Your donation will help our coxswains steer their boat to victory. |
| Gas Up | $50 | Enable our coaches to gas out the launch boats so they can keep up with our athletes and coach them to victory. |
| Clean Up | $25 | Fund cleaning supplies to ensure that boats, oars and the boat house are sanitized and kept clean to efficiency and safety. |
| Welcome New Athletes | $15 | Starting a new sport in high school can be intimidating. Help us build a wam welcome for our new athletes and their parents! This enables us to build community and let each individual know how vital and important they are to the team! |

W.T. Woodson Crew Boosters Association, Inc is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization supporting the athletes of W.T. Woodson High School Crew Team in Fairfax, Virginia. The team receives no financial support from Fairfax County Public School District and relies solely on member dues and fundraising for equipment, uniforms, coaching salaries, and all operating expenses.
