2024 PRACTICE SCHEDULE
2024 SPRING BREAK SCHEDULE
From a physiology training perspective, ideally there would be 2 practices a day over spring break. However, from a logistics perspective, coaches understand that one large practice block may be easier to manage for families. As a result, the spring break schedule will be a compromise between these two forces. The 2024 spring break practice schedule below is for both the men’s and women’s teams:
Monday, 3/25: 8:30a – 12:30p
Tuesday, 3/26: 8:30a – 10:45a AND 4 – 6:30p
Wednesday, 3/27: 8:30a – 12:30p
Thursday, 3/28: 8:30a – 10:45a AND 4 – 6:30p
Friday, 3/29: 8:30a – 12:30p
Saturday, 3/30: Day trip Travel Regatta in Middletown, DE. Details can be found here. Volunteers are needed for this event! Sign up here: St. Andrews Volunteers
Sunday, 3/31: No practice
*REGULAR PRACTICE SCHEDULE RESUMES ON 4/1, despite Monday and Tuesday being days off from school.
COMMUNICATION
Being on the the respective parent or athlete Slack channels is critical to receiving up-to-date information during the spring season. Slack is where time sensitive information will be communicated such as weather updates, cancellations and other announcements.
PARENT SLACK: If you are a parent/guardian of a Woodson Rowing athlete and are not part of our Slack community, please email [email protected] with your name and your athlete’s name.
ATHLETE SLACK: Please contact your coaches to be added to the athlete Slack.
TRANSPORTATION
Carpool : To get athletes to the water when practice begins on February 20, we advise that you have a solid carpool plan. If you need help coordinating a parent carpool, make sure you’re in the carpool channel on the parent Slack.
Carpool Forms are required when transporting students. Information on the driver and the driver’s liability insurance is required for all personal and leased vehicles used for taking rowers to/from away regattas and on-the-water practice at Sandy Run. Our membership team collects and maintains these records and they MUST be hard-copy forms. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
